2000 Pokemon Base 2 Set – History

Base Set 2 is a compilation of selected cards from the previous Base Set And Jungle sets. Wizards of the Coast had a trend of releasing these compilation sets for most of the trading card game series they sold. This set, containing 130 cards, replaced the previous Base set, and all energy cards printed between Base 2’s release and the Gym Heroes set were printed as Base 2 cards. It is identified by the symbol of a Pokéball with the number 2 running through it.

2000  Pokemon Base 2 Set – Interest and Popularity

The interest in this set does not look very lively. But, I know a lot good cards were reproduced in this set. I think this set is a good replacement if you can not get ahold of the Original Base Set.

I continued to collect my sets of Pokemon Trading Cards by buying the Base 2 set. I think I purchased 5 boxes to complete the set. This card set gave me a lot of cards to build decks with to play at the tournaments that I took my daughter to participate. We won all our medals or pins.
